Fly into OAX.

Oaxaca International Airport (OAX) is about 20–30 minutes from downtown, depending on traffic. You can fly nonstop from several cities in Mexico and the U.S., or connect through a major hub such as Mexico City.

For our San Diego guests, Tijuana is another option, with flights to Oaxaca and access through Cross Border Xpress (CBX).

Arriving at the airport

Use an authorized airport taxi. After baggage claim, go to the official transportation counter to reserve and pay for your ride to your hotel.

Heading home

Arrange a taxi to the airport through your hotel; they can help coordinate your pickup. Plan on taxis for airport trips rather than relying on a rideshare pickup.

Getting around town

Uber Taxi and DiDi Taxi offer app-based rides in Oaxaca. Availability can vary, so keep a local taxi as a backup. The wedding weekend is centered in the walkable historic center; no rental car is needed.

If time allows, we recommend adding a few days before or after the wedding. Mexico City, Huatulco, and Puerto Escondido are some of our personal favorites—we'd love for you to enjoy more of Mexico while you're here.

Spend a few days in Mexico City for food and culture, or head to Huatulco or Puerto Escondido for time on the coast.
